How about I start with a nice scenic shot of the beautiful campsite we stayed at for 8 nights before jumping into the details. The milestone of going at least a couple of years without adding another member to our ever growing family. With Marlene being pregnant and needing regular visits to the doc, we were figuratively chained to our home base.
The only camping trips we have gone on in the last year have been short weekend ones. Three-months, we thought, ought to be a good length of time to hit the road this winter.

Service is excellent and personel have all kind of information about Disney. You can see fireworks every night. Well worth the price and would stay again. The allure is being a mile from Disneyland, and it’s all worth it! So close that every night I watched fireworks from my rig or the pool. It’s a great place, it’s just right in the middle of town, next to an elementary school and highway.
I always felt safe, saw several Anaheim Police officers patrol during the day, and there is an employee that drives around and keeps watch all night long as well. The campground itself is laid out kind of weird, but it works well.

And thanks to the location on this dreamy stretch of coast, any faults are entirely forgivable. There’s something unusually enchanting — even for Southern California — about the tableau of palm trees, stately bluffs, gleaming sun and sea.
Solitude may be short supply with the endless parade of cyclists, runners, surfers, and beachgoers. But some quietude, romance, and fun can be had by those who follow an old local tradition: Not that beach camping ever gets boring, but you may find that the coffee shops, restaurants and laid back vibes of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Solana Beach, and Encinitas are a welcome distraction.

To find military facilities we use www. Some people swear by it, I don’t use it. It’s about the best deal out there and well worth your consideration. We no longer have a membership to Passport America because we don’t use a lot of commercial campgrounds. If you do, we recommend Passport America highly. The following list includes national, state and provincial parks, private campgrounds and RV “Resorts”. Some would be considered “destinations”, while others are merely stopovers we’ve encountered en route. Our preferences are for places where the sites are spacious, the views interesting, the facilities clean and adequate, with friendly and professional management. We’re not particularly keen on urban locations, train or highway noise, or video arcades. Hookups are certainly a convenience, but some more primitive locations can be superb without them.
Thus in the lists which follow, you’ll find RV parks that fit into virtually all categories. The sites are scattered through a well manicured woodsy area adjacent to a small lake. The trees, shrubs, and lawns are meticulously maintained. The sites are thoughtfully fitted into the contours of this hilly area. Most are widely separated from one another, and all have an unusually pleasant exposure to this especially attractive area.
Fishing and golfing oppotunities are abundant. This is the most logical port of disembarkation if you’re taking the Alaska Ferry northbound; and the most logical port of embarkation if you’re taking the ferry south.
